10th Year, Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia 2023 Targets 30,000 Runners from All Around Indonesia


The POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia event which has stepped on for a decade will be held again in a hybrid format with innovations from 100 flag-off cities from Sabang to Merauke simultaneously on July 30 2023

 

Jakarta, 5 February 2023 – Turning 10 years old this year, POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2023 which promotes #saferunning education will continue to be carried out in a hybrid manner, both offline in Bandung and virtual by running at the same time and from anywhere. As many as 11,000 offline tickets were sold out in 56 minutes in December 2022, while virtual tickets are still open until now.

 

Present as a guest speaker at the press conference this morning, Ridwan Kamil as Governor of West Java, Puspita Winawati as Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Daniel Mananta as Pocari Sweat Brand Ambassador, and Anita Ekasari as representative of the main sponsor of POCARI SWEAT RUN INDONESIA 2023, Jenius. The press conference hosted by Melanie Putria this time was held differently because it started with a morning run with the speakers and several public figures including Alya Rohali, Agus Prayogo, and others. This is done to invite the Indonesian people to keep moving and sweating and live a healthy lifestyle.

 

Puspita Winawati, Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka said, "A decade is not an easy journey for POCARI SWEAT to be able to consistently hold running events which innovate every year to bring something new. Since the pandemic, we have had to innovate to change the format to a hybrid, so it's not only held offline but virtually which can be followed from anywhere. And this year, the innovation of 100 cities flag-off simultaneously throughout Indonesia is carried out so that people can run together from anywhere at the same time. With this, we are targeting 30,000 runners who will participate from Sabang to Merauke and will remain as the largest hybrid running event in Indonesia where the main flag-off will be held at Gedung Sate, Bandung with the full support of the West Java Provincial Government."

 

Ridwan Kamil, as Governor of West Java, as Governor of West Java and host of the grand event POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2023 said, "We support POCARI SWEAT Run because this event always consistent in providing the best for runners, and of course, it has an extraordinary economic effect for West Java, especially the city of Bandung. Hotels are fully booked, and usually, these runners also bring their families for culinary and shopping tours. It is a great hope that POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2023 will not only stop in 1 decade but can continue for the next 10, 20 years," continued Ridwan Kamil, who in this 10-year special edition will design limited edition medals that are always unique and carry elements West Java culture.

The categories in the POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2023 is still the same as the previous year which was created to be able to reach all levels of society, namely marathons, half marathons, and 10K for the offline category. Meanwhile, for virtual run, there are categories for marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, 3K, and kids dash.
