Jakarta, February 20, 2023 – PT Bank BTPN Tbk (Bank BTPN) ensures that customers’ data and money are safe with the bank after one of Bank BTPN's Yogyakarta branch offices in Wirogunan, Mergangsan, was caught on fire.

The incident took place on Sunday, February 19, 2023, around 3.15 pm. Fire fighters managed to extinguish the fire by 4.35 pm.

“We would like to thank everyone who helped put out the fire during the incident,” Communications & Daya Head Andrie Darusman said in Jakarta today.

For time being, Bank BTPN has transferred all services in the branch office to another office in Kotagede on Jl. Gedong Kuning No. 53B, and advised customers to reach BTPN Care at 1500365 should they have further questions.

Bank BTPN estimates that damages caused by the fire reach no more than Rp5 billion, according to Andrie.

“Also, we maintain our communications and coordination with the police to make sure investigations run well and we find the cause of the fire,” he added.
